Partnership Showcase

As a Taitaja2026 partner, the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce wants to strengthen students’ working life skills and bring corporate cooperation closer to young people. That is why we, together with Tokmanni, Keuda, and Business College Helsinki, have created a retail showcase skill for the event, where genuine retail challenges are solved through teamwork. The task is to develop Tokmanni’s Easter season: how artificial intelligence can boost sales and how the season is made visible in stores and the online store.

The competition is aimed at students in vocational education and training and general upper secondary school aged 22 or under. The preliminary assignment and the final are performed as a team of 2–3 people. Based on the preliminary assignment, the four best teams will be invited to compete in the final in Tuusula on May 20, 2026.

The goal is to highlight the importance of multidisciplinary competence, increase working life relevance, and offer young people an opportunity to apply future skills in practice. The Taitaja competition offers an excellent platform for demonstrating one’s own skills, practicing teamwork, and getting to know working life.

Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce

The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber of commerce in the Nordic countries, with over 7,000 member companies. Our mission is to accelerate the sustainable success of businesses in the Helsinki region and to strengthen the competitiveness of the area. Competence is at the core of this: we support cooperation between companies and educational institutions and promote solutions that ensure access to skilled labour also in the future.

Vocational education is the foundation of working life in Finland, and its importance is highlighted in an operating environment that is constantly changing. We want to help strengthen connections with working life so that students gain as realistic an understanding as possible of the competence needs in different fields and have the opportunity to learn together with companies.
