This presentation explores the recruitment and success of workers with specialized work abilities at the intersection of vocational education and working life. It invites reflection on how to practically support individuals with weaker positions in the labor market, helping them transition smoothly and build meaningful careers. The discussion will consider whether the main barriers lie in values and attitudes or in gaps in knowledge, structures, and practices. It also challenges participants to consider whether the issue is primarily tolerance or genuine equality and reform of working life so that diverse abilities are truly recognized as strengths.
